Teaser Analysis: What do the Sang’gres’ hand poses tell about their destiny?

Even the way they hold the Apat na Brilyante ng Kalikasan would have to have meaning.

In the teaser, the four new generation Sang’gres unfurled their hands to show off the four elemental gems for the first time.

The New Gen Sang’gres are Terra, Adamus, Flamarra, and Deia

Here’s our obsessions and theories about how the nuances of their hands define the paths they are going to forge for Encantadia!

Terra

Bianca Umali as Terra, new keeper of the Earth Gem

Terra, the lost Sang’gre of Lireo who’s going to grow in the realm of mortals, manifests a steadfast and assuring command of the Earth Gem in the way she harnesses it.

Her trope is loosely based on Lira’s life, the archetype of a Diwani (princess) that has to return to her rightful home. However, in contrast to Lira’s dysphoria as the prophesied savior, Terra is poised to indirectly embrace her calling even before her return.

Flamarra

Faith Da Silva as Flamarra, new keeper of the Fire Gem

Flamarra’s archetype embodies a princess who yearns to transcend the shadows of her legendary queen mother, Pirena. Will the Fire Gem’s flames intertwine with the essence of her character?

The way she brandishes the Fire Gem is a spectacle of pride. Her hands gracefully open, fingers free yet resolute. This mirrors a burning desire to fulfill her destined role while maintaining her distinct individuality.

Adamus

Kelvin Miranda as Adamus, new keeper of the Water Gem

Adamus’s archetype emerges as a hero burdened by weight of destiny long before he is born. His existence is entwined with the fate of Adamya, the home of his late father, the realm yearning to rise from the scars of war and discord.

The grip of Adamus upon the Water Gem is nuanced with a gesture, a pose of strength and a rebellious spirit. The subtle clasp speaks of a character steep in defiance, a stark contrast to a Diwan (prince) constrained by the chains of his fate.

Deia

Angel Guardian as Deia, new keeper of the Air Gem

Deia’s character remains to be an enigma, shrouded by veils of uncertainty. If she is indeed an outsider like the theories and rumors say, her being the anointed guardian of the Air Gem is going to be pivotal.

The manner in which Deia holds the gem—her fingers in a symphony that tighten and unfurl, suggests an unspoken union of Gem and Keeper, a pact forged not by chance but by destiny.

This post is inspired by how each race in the Avatar: The Last Airbender (ATLA) universe has a distinct hand shape (and mostly because how our four leading Sang’gre actors have a way with their “hand acting”, given the limited amount of time they spent probably internalizing their characters).
